ワールドシフトとは発展の方向性を変える、
つまり新たな方向へシフトすることを意味します。
現在の方向は危機を生むばかりで、持続可能なものではありません。
富は限られた人に集中し、貧困は広がってゆきます。
雇用、教育、エネルギー問題が生じ、その状態では人類の文明は持続不可能であり、70億の人口を養うことはできません。
ワールドシフトは今までと異なる目的、優先度、そして価値観を持つことです。

日本においても、そうした社会の実現を目指す、さまざまな団体、機関、NPO、研究者、社会企業家、個人等が、未来へ向けた提言を発信するイベントとして、「ワールドシフトフォーラム」が2010年から数回にわたり、開催されています。

“World Shift” is a when the development of the world heads a new direction.
The currant development strategy the world runs is far from being sustainable.
The wealth is all concentrated on small groups of people and the poor has been spreading world wide.
If the hiring, education, and energy problems continues, we would not be able to sustain ourselves sufficiently and we will still be unable to feed all 8 billion individuals on this planet.
“World Shift” seeks a different approach on solving world problems and holds different objectives, priorities, and values.

Even in Japan, many groups, organisations, NPOs, researchers, entrepreneurs, and individuals are hosting events called “World Shift Forum” from 2010.
