2003年、ネットワークエコビレッジとしてくりもとミレニアムシティ第一期が建てられた。

それから７年経て2010年、その第二弾としてあさひミレニアムシティ第一期が完成した。

現在、ミレニアムシティは「くりもとミレニアムシティ」を第一弾、「あさひミレニアムシティ」を第二弾として活動しています。ミレニアムシティは世界初のネットワークエコビレッジです。これは世界中の海や山、都会、牧場といったところにビレッジを作り、それを結んでいき、定住の責任感と住み替えの自由さを併せ持つ新しいインターネット時代のコミュニティのことです。私たちはこれを緩やかなコミュニティ、略して「ゆるコミ」と呼んでいます。

In 2003, the first term “Kurimoto Millennium City” was built as the first Eco Village.

7 years later, the first term “Asahi Millennium City” was built as a second project.

Now, Millennium City has being in its works among these two establishments. Millennium City is the world’s first eco village network. We create these villages all around the world on all sorts of landscapes such as mountain, coastlines, farmlands, and cities. By unifying those places all together, we hope to create a community that understands and respects the true values of long term settlement while also understanding the freedom of short term settlement via the internet. We call this relaxed community “lax-com” in short.

MERRYで世界を１つにしたい　Unify the world trough “Merry”

子供の頃から世の中をよくしたいという決意をもち、世界中を笑顔にするために「MERRY　PROJECT」を立ち上げた水谷さん。
あなたにとってMERRY（楽しいこと、幸せなとき、将来の夢など）とは、何ですか？」このシンプルな 質問を世界中の人々に投げかけ、その笑顔とメッセージを集めました。
1999年から開始されたMERRYの撮影。これまで世界25ヶ国30,000人以上の方に参加して頂きました。このアーカイブスの完成によって、世界中の人々の笑顔とメッセージを見ることが自由に出来るようになりました。世界には人の数だけ笑顔があります。それぞれが考える「MERRY」に、あなたもきっと共感することでしょう。

With the intent of raising good hearted people from a young age, Mr.Mitani has came up with a rather peculiar project called the “Merry Project”.
“What makes you feel merry?” This is the question that Mr.Mizutani has asked to various people around the world and gathered their messages and smiles.
The photoshoot for the “Merry Project” started in 1999. We have managed to gather over 30000 participants in 25 countries. Thanks to the completion of this Archive, it is now possible to freely view the heart warming smiles and the messages. There are as many smiles as people in the world. We hope you can also smile to their own version of what makes them feel merry as well.
